Hi. Absolute path is the actual path of a file from the root directory e.g. in linux /. It can also be called a full path as it traces a file from the start of the file system. Relative path is the path of a file in relation to another file.

Example:
If I have a file kim.java in a folder called Bixente in drive D: the absolute path is D:\Bixente\kim.java while the relative path if am in drive D: is Bixente\kim.java
