The Flex Builder 3 is installed by default in the C Drive.
Before you install Flex Builder 3 in your computer make sure that previous versions of Flex Business 3 have been removed.
Step 1:
To download Flex Builder 3 in Windows use Flex Builder Win SA from Adobe labs.
Step 2:
The installer executable file has to be opened and then arrangement prompts need to be accepted.
Step 3:
Flash Player 9 plug-in is selected by default during installation you can however, have the option to select other versions of Flash Players.
Step 4:
The next step is to follow the prompts for installation. Checkout the release notes. Your installation of Flex Builder 3 in Adobe is complete.
Step 5:
You can star using Flex Builder from Adobe which you will find in the “Start Menu”.
To Install Flex Builder in Mac OS X you need to follow almost the same process as stated above. There are though a few differences. After downloading Flex Builder Mac SA from Adobe Lab site, double-click on the installer DMG file. This will help on mounting the installer image.
Then after double-clicking on the installer file again you can begin the installation process. When installation is over, you will start the Flex Builder locate the executable files in Adobe Flex Builder 3. Finally when prompted select the Trial option.
During both the installation process you will have Flash 9 player as default. You can change the version according to your system requirements. You will be asked to select ColdFusion Extensions and JSEclipse for Flex Builder. But this is optional.
